Who it's for

You have ADHD, and the people you love keep asking "but why?". Be welcome! You may have a lot of questions. This book is for you.

You know your ADHD better than anyone. But when your partner, your parents or your boss ask what it is, the explanation comes out too long, too defensive, or not at all. This book gives you the words: short, kind, backed by research, and ready to use.

Written by an author with ADHD, with true stories from his own life, and every fact checked against published research.

  • ADHD in 60 seconds: your elevator explanation, in 10-second, 60-second and 5-minute versions
  • Scripts for your partner, your parents, your siblings and your friends
  • Telling work: three options, your rights, and an adjustment request that gets a yes
  • Ready-made letters you can copy, adapt or send
  • Calm answers to "everyone's a little ADHD" and "it's just an excuse"
  • Which book to give to whom, so they can keep learning without you teaching every night

Is it long?

Short, practical chapters. Each one ends with a few concrete actions to try this week.

About the author

Rafael Domingo Paredes Ramones knows ADHD from the inside. Diagnosed as a child, he has put his keys in the bin, left his phone in the freezer and graded exams until sunrise without noticing the night go by. He has also taught at university, repairs cars and computers, and writes. That's why he started The ADHD Circle: a series of short, practical, evidence-based guides for people with ADHD and the people around them: parents, partners, siblings, friends, teachers and colleagues. Every book is built on published research and clinical guidelines, explained in plain language, and full of tools you can use the same day. His hope is simple: that someone with ADHD can hand one of these books to the people they love, and say, "This is me. Let's do this together."
